    Hi

When epoxing a new driver adapter on to a shaft should the shaft bottom out in to the adapter ?

    Thanks

Yes, also make sure there is no old glue or paint on the shaft

      Yes.
Sandpaper the shiny finish off the shaft portion that will be inserted, and file a small chamfer around the tip to make sure the shaft bottoms out.
Coat only the shaft with epoxy, and rotate the shaft one complete turn when you insert it into the adapter.

Most first time assemblers use too much epoxy.

A utility knife with a snap off blade is a great tool to remove the paint and prep the end of the shaft without cutting into the carbon fibers.
Put a wrap of masking tape around where to stop so you don't go too far. I've seen top shops use a grinder and butcher a $400 shaft.
