    Best Remote Electric Cart

    Hi All,

A few sales on now. I'm looking at the Alphard V2 or the Mobile Caddy GT6R. Both around $1000. Does anyone have a review for either or suggest something around the same price?

    Thanks.

For someone who already has a push cart, the Alphard gets really good reviews. The most common gripes about it are that you often have to take the unit off the cart to get everything into your trunk and the lack of a handlebar control compared to the dedicated remote carts means that your only option is to use the remote. Aside from that, people have great things to say about the stability, ease of use, etc.

I had a bat caddy from on the go leisure for 3 yrs was fantastic, then after that had a ewheels for 3 days was awkward. Ended up with a MGI zip navigator and it is a treat to use. Best one ive owned so far,

I had a MotoCaddy non-remote, then replaced it with an Alphard-Sun Mountain combo, then eventually settled on an MGI Zip Navigator AT remote. Very happy with the MGI as it is easy to setup and take-down, plus the compact size is a huge benefit since my wife and I golf together and we can fit both our MGIs and golf bags in the trunk.

Had no issues with the MGI. I have the top model battery and after a round, only 1 out of 5 bars on the battery status is used up. Motor easily handles uphills with a full cart bag, loaded beer cooler bag, umbrella, etc. Remote range is pretty good.

Yes, it's more expensive but worth it especially if on sale. The only thing the Alphard is better, IMO, is it's stability on very bumpy surfaces due to it's wider axle.

I have owned a Lectronic Caddy for 3 years followed by a Bat Caddy for approx 6 years and for the past year have had a MGI Zip Navigator. All were remote control.

Understanding the MGI is the most expensive it is worth every penny. In all facets, quietness, Gyro, hill ascent/descent, quality of materials, battery life, storage, etc, the Zip Navigator is superior.

In context I walk approx 100 rounds annually so they get a lot of use. My experience with the Bat Caddy unfortunately was not great, I probably spent between tires, batteries, new remote controls, etc I probably spent on average $150-200 annually on parts alone.

Great feedback everyone. My wife bought me the MGI Zip X5 for Christmas with no hints at all. I very reluctantly asked her to take it back telling her that I really loved the gift but that I would like to get the AT with remote instead. Just waiting for Costco US to put it on sale, hopefully before our snowbird time ends April 1st.

It just went on sale during the holidays, so I doubt it’ll go on sale again before the summer.

If you are in the US watch for a sale at motogolf.com they had a good sale in December, some guys from our club in Florida bought then, I think their regular price on the MGI Navigator AT is $1495.

Personally and I know I'm the outsider on this one I love it without the remote. The remote is just one more thing to worry about, plus I like having my clubs beside me. I know I'm not walking as "free" vs the remote but I also hate steering and having the remote in my pocket. But to the OP, MGI is amazing, you can't go wrong. The swivel front wheel is a must! I have owned a Bat Caddy and Motocaddy... by far the best of the 3. I was down to the power caddy and MGI last year and went with MGI.

I have been using Caddytrek R2 for over six years after too many problems with Stewart X7 and Lectronic Kaddies. The R2 has been super dealing with slopes and the Follow capability is a real benefit.

I have had a number of electric carts and the Stewart has been my favourite up till now, I bought the MGI Navigator and it’s great, the best feature is that it holds itself going downhill, doesn’t matter how steep the hill is it goes down at a controlled pace unlike my Stewart which I had to hold on to as it would just run away.

The MGI I find is just more controlled, it tracks straighter and the battery and remote just lasts longer before I have to charge it, loved my Stewart but I am really liking the MGI..🙂

The newest MGI GPS+ is probably the best one to get right now cause it solves the issue of the battery placement. That said, it's also the most expensive.
