Kirkland New Version 3 Performance+ golf balls.

    Hi everyone.

I bought 3 boxes of the yellow version of these balls while in the States in February. I really loved the prior years' version of these balls and thought they were great value for the money. However, I am not so sure about the 2024 version. I just can't seem to hit them as far as some other balls I have played around with at the indoor simulators. I'm talking like 1/2 a club on a 7-iron kind of difference. The spin on the Kirkland seems a bit higher then the Bridgestone Tour B RX I am also playing with, but I wouldn't have thought 6-10 yards on a 7-iron.

Has anyone else tried them and/or experienced something like this?

    Thanks.

Club Champion (formerly TXG) just did a video testing the Kirkland v3 against the ProV1x and they didn't see much of a ball speed difference until they got up to the driver.

Loved last years as well and down to my last 2 dozen. Have 3-4 boxes of the new ones (wife kept buying me a box until I told her to stop I've got enough - I'm not that bad !) Haven't hit the new ones yet, other than 1 or two holes with the new Yellow version - didn't notice a difference

I’ve always found the Kirkland balls to be super spinny. I don’t even bother picking them up when I find them in the bushes. They are good for around the green, but they remind me of limited flight range balls or the old Nike One golf ball (which was also a super spinny ball that flew significantly shorter than its competitors). I get that they are cheap, but it always feels like you’re putting a regulator on distance when playing them.

At my friend Ian Fraser's speed, about 4.3 mph less with the driver.

I wonder if I got abad batch??? Golf Spy reviews suggest a lot of production inconsistency.
