Triggers to start the golf swing?

Anyone have any good triggers to start the golf swing? I'm getting more and more frozen over the golf ball and having a hard time making that first move away lately. A frustrating thing for anyone who has gone through it. Just looking for additional ideas from the normal concepts that you find on Youtube to try on the range. I need some inspiration!!!

Battled this thought for years.... after ensuring fundamentals and setup were good , i moved to a release word in my head, ie "GO", essentially turning the swing into a reaction vs a thought of how.

incorporating this eliminates all pre shot anxiety and tension from my body. Golf life has been way better since taking this approach years ago.

I just finished reading "Golf is not a game of perfect" by Bob Rotella. He talks extensively about incorporating a consistent pre shot routine. It can be very short but once you start it everything becomes automatic removing any requirement to think about starting the swing.
Aim at nothing and you will hit it every time.

More importantly are your prayers often answered? Mine are...rarely.

Not sure about a trigger, maybe tie it to breathing? One exhale and start the motion.

Worst thing to do in my opinion is to become completely motionless, always be waggling or transferring weight between your feet.

You can't balk in golf so no reason to come to a dead stop.

Great topic! Some of the most repetitive ball strikers I’ve seen start their back swing in the middle of what seems like a twitch or like a bee went down their shirt… then the club goes back and bam. It’s what ever gets you to rev your engine.

I try to avoid 'crowding the ball' with the head of the club, and instead hover it 3"-4" behind the ball. Then, before I begin the backswing, I do a very slight forward movement toward the ball. In short, a very small forward swing followed by a conventional backswing.

Please note that this is not a forward press.

^^^ that’s like my driver trigger / swing, except I start with a hover behind the ball, then move the club fully past the ball a foot, then start my backswing. My goal is to return the club that spot a foot past the tee.

That is extremely interesting to me, so hope you don't mind if i just wanted clarify that i'm understanding this correctly: The driver head is in the air, higher than the ball and is 1' towards the target before you start the back swing, right ? Then you "swoosh" the clubhead over the ball doing the back swing ? That may be similar to what Dr. Kwon teaches in his "STAGE 3" drill ?
...and you actually do this in your, not drill, but "real swing", yes ?
