What proshop souvenirs do you like to bring back from golf trips?

    Hi folks.

I am going on a golf trip this summer to some "once in a lifetime"-type destinations (Royal Portrush, Royal county down). Just wondering what people like to take as souvenirs from places like this, when you know you're probably not coming back for multiple visits? I've taken yardage books from more well-known places before (I'd say Cabot is the only place that was in that upper echelon for me).

Are there things you regret getting or regret not getting? Things that are a good bang for buck? Would love to hear your thoughts

I buy a logo ball from every course I play. Now up to about 350. I also buy a hat with the course logo on occasion. Depends on the course, and the price.

I have a couple of really nice ball markers from Cabot and Latrobe. How many do you really need though? And I am afraid to use them for fear of losing them.

If I enjoy the course and they have a cool flag I'm buying a flag brought back 2 from Arizona. If they have nice hats that fit could get a hat, a polo is always an option or a tee shirt. The easiest is grabbing an extra scorecard, pencil and tees if they have the club logo on it.

My one regret is I played Troon North in Arizona, got a polo a nice polo but it got a few snags and has a small hole or two, wish I got a flag but I can just order one from their website which I might do.

Mostly hangovers and a sore back. Sometimes a ball marker.

Divot tool if logoed and not too clunky in design.

I like souvenirs that are "useful" - like a towel, a divot tool or even a ball marker.

A nice golf shirt or hat also work for me.

Then when you pull them out to use them you get some good memories coming back.

I don't really hang on to a lot of souvenirs, I don't like clutter.

I used to collect bag tags. Are they still a thing?

Also used to buy/collect the printed course guide books. Can't remember the last time I saw a course offering one of those.

Other than that either a logoed golf ball or a divot tool with a ball marker.

I have a friend (let’s leave it at that ) who used to collect steak knives from courses he visited if they had a restaurant attached?

Yes to this - tough to come by these days with gps units being readily available. When Tarandowah’s came out last year I was all exited for a detailed greens view but unfortunately they didn’t go that route

A mug, if it's nice. Many top courses put little effort into them, though.

I use my coffee mug from Trump National Doral every morning at work. It has beautiful views of the course and clubhouse printed on.
