    iPad screen protectors

Just installed a new Zagg screen protector on my IPad and two IPods.

iPods look and feel fine, the IPad on the other hand feels different and the display looks grainy.

Is it possible to install these inside out?:

    Re: iPad screen protectors

Don't recall what brand I purchased, but I thought the one I put on had a protective film on one side that had to be removed before installation. Te film covered the side that was to be on the screen side of the iPad. Might take some time for the air bubbles to go away but I don't think you should have any clarity issues.

Bought the same kind for my Galaxy Tab 2 I received for Christmas. Yes..there is a backing that needs to be pulled off. I remember I really soaked it with the spray as to not get fingerprints on the screen, squeeged all liquid out then let it set and dry for a good 24 hrs.
Maybe just needs time to 'cure'.
I noticed any small air bubbles that remained have disappeared over time.

I get mine done at a flea market on Dixie, north of Eglinton in Missingsauga. Great price and the girl never screws up. I can't even tell there is a screen protector on them.

With one side having the adhesive I can't imagine it staying on if it was outside in.

Best word I can think of to describe the feel is satiny.

I've applied a number of these and have never had that issue. Completely wrapped my macbook pro in one too. I have the Zaggshield HD onmy Iphone 5 and you wouldn't know it was there. They have great customer service if you call them I'm sure they'd sent you a replacement.

Fished the package out of the recycle, notice it says "smudge-proof" on the package.

This one does seem to resist finger prints better but image quality looks a little grainy.

Been holding off on slapping one of these on my ipad. Had a read on ilounge that the shields actually detract clarity from the new retina displays. Plus u get swirlies which are not ideal.

I'm the same. I just use a folio to cover the screen when it's not in use. The display is too good to cover it with a screen protector

I got a two pack of screen covers from Futureshop, one of which is matte and the other glossy. I tried the matte one first on my ipad 3rd gen, and it did nothing for the retina display, making it look grainy / blurry. When I yanked it and put on the glossy though, the screen was crystal clear. Does smudge a bit more than the matte, but wipes easy. Can't remember who made it, but they were cheap. It's been on a few months now and still holding on fine.

If I was the only one who used it that would be fine.

I bought an iPad 2 last Xmas.

I had a screen cover installed day 1. I used the one that they claim is used for helicopter blades. It has been flawless.

I also keep it in a leather case that folds to sleep it etc.

It has survived very well the daily abuse of my kids.
Still getting the hang of this game!

My griffin survivor case took 1-2 days to cling to the screen.
