Had the great pleasure of watching him over many years in Montreal. With due respect to Rusty Staub and Andre Dawson " the kid " was the greatest Expo in it's all too short history. Considered by some to be a "hot dog ", it was simply the joy and enthusiasm with which he always played the game he loved. RIP Kid

Couldn't have said it better myself... Saw him often in person... always nice and with a smile...

Still remembering being at the 1982 All-Star game with 4 Expos starting... and Yes, "The Kid" at his usual spot...

Met him as a 16 year old in spring training. Fabulous person and ballplayer.

You would be hard pressed to find a clip of him on a ball diamond without a smile on his face. Blue Monday the obvious exception.
