Ya too many of them. After The Memorial, then US Open, I can’t get too excited for another $20,000,000 event in The Traveler as 3 premier events in a row. If there are too many of them, then add in the 4 Majors, it’s like 1/3 of the PGAT events are “special”.

They will be special until that lustre wears off.

        Well.

Today's finish on 18 was quite "special".

Kudos to Scheffler, Bhatia and Kim for keeping their focus, and to the cops for settling things down so quickly.

I wonder if Scottie was wondering if he'd end up in cuffs again when the dust cleared.

        "Confusion" will be my epitaph

Breaking; Just Stop Oil have released a statement saying they were originally going to target a LIV event but changed their mind as they wanted to be in the public eye.

I was watching a recording. At one point, we had a very brief power outage and the recording was interrupted.

I missed seeing the 2nd shots to the 18th green, and when the broadcast resumed, all I saw a stoppage in play, with the balls on the green, and some unexplained red and white blotches of "something" on the green, that marshals and grounds keeping staff were looking after.

Was the actual event broadcast for viewers to have seen?

Fortunately there are no rules limiting the number of golf balls you can carry during a match!

              Yes it was.

Like you, I had a PVR issue and my recording started same place as you'd seen with play stopped and weird splotches on the green. They started a rebroadcast of part of the tourney shortly after and i FF'd that and watched the whole thing. The players were pretty calm, the crowd was noisy and the cops were flying!

They seemed quite intent on not showing replays of the protesters, i.e. not giving the "terrorists" and more free publicity.

Have to commend the cops for catching the lunatics quickly and getting them out of there.

And as usual Scottie doing Scottie things, banking another 3.6 million with a great iron approach into 18 in the PO. Only Arnold Palmer has had 6 wins in 6 months ( by end of June ).

Some Canadians cashed some decent cheques too:

                  T16 Svensson $310K
                  T23 Pendrith $183K
                  T27 Conners & Hadwin $144K
                  Hughes 97K and Taylor $75K

                      ^^^ thanks for the correction
I was regurgitating what I heard on TV, but it is really Scottie is the first since Arnold did it last in 1962. Dunno if Tiger got six that quickly. Vijay also had 9 wins in the 2004 season but only 3 by the end of June.

FYI came across this golf stats website:
Vijay Singh and Tiger Woods are tied for the most tournament wins in a season, with 9 tournament wins.

Thanks. Makes sense not to give air time to the event.

I don't think these kinds of stunts do much to garner support for the cause.
