Grant Horvat = Good Luck charm

Been quite the run for the guys who've graced Grant Horvat's YT channel. BDC wins a major, Bhatia has been red hot, Wesley Bryan on the first page of the leaderboard at the Rocket Mortgage Classic and even the youngster Miles Russell had a decent day especially at his tender age. Maybe a few more golfers could find their way onto the channel ? It certainly doesn't seem to hurt one's game.

YouTube golf is predicted to grab share from broadcast pro golf as the audience continues to age out. Other than the annoying 60 second ads, the streaming format is a convenient way to watch some entertaining product. I really enjoyed the recent edition where John Rahm spotted Grant 5 strokes and (sorta made it look like) it went down to the last few holes.

Been enjoying Grant's 1:1's with Bryson a bunch the last few months and wasn't surprised to see Grant in the group of BDC supports on 18 at the open. Bryson's green reads, and calculations for adjusted distance are sometimes a bit much to accept, but I can totally get that that is his process and gets him where he needs to be - I bet the analytics give him the confidence he needs to hit the strokes.

With a little technical know how YT ads aren't an issue. I haven't seen a YT ad in years. If you're into streaming music the YT premium service isn't a bad buy either if one is looking to avoid the disruption of advertisements. The golf audience watching on conventional television certainly is a dying breed. The amount of golf content both good and bad on YT is staggering.

I have a grandfathered plan that is a couple of bucks per month cheaper, but will say that YT is easily my most watched subscription service. Especially so with the increased popularity of YT golf. I even find my wife watching it more and more (not golf)!
